I have a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Sardar Patel University.
I started volunteering with VNC from my school days, especially creating awareness about reptiles in school, which continued during my college days. This also provided ample opportunities for me to work in a different field of nature conservation.
Since I joined Voluntary Nature Conservation (VNC) in 2011 as VNC’s education coordinator, I have provided nature education to more than one and a half lakh students. I also provide training to numerous nature enthusiasts in rescue and rehabilitation of wild species, especially reptiles.
I am also a part of VNC’s Crocodile research and conservation team. Apart from conducting population and habitat survey, I have initialized outreach activities in villages having crocodiles, where I teach them about muggers and how to co-exist with them, through audio-visual presentations and interactive discussions.
