Brinky Desai completed her Bachelor’s in Zoology from the St Xavier’s College in Ahmedabad. She first got involved in wildlife research and conservation by volunteering with various NGO’s in my undergraduate days. She previously worked as intern with VNC’s Human-Crocodile Conflict Mitigation Project, wherein her experience included assessing human-crocodile conflict, perception and attitude of local communities, mugger population and habitat quality assessments.

She was also involved in community engagement and public awareness. Her current research interests are in the area of Human-wildlife interaction, behavioral ecology and wildlife rescue, and rehabilitation.

To further her interests in wildlife research, She is currently pursuing a Masters in Wildlife Conservation Action from BVIEER, Pune, India.
